1. Discraft Zone SS
August saw the much anticipated public release of the Zone SS from Discraft and it is no surprise to see it sitting atop the best seller list. This disc is incredible and fills a much needed slot in Discraft's lineup with a torque resistant, slightly understable approach disc. The newness of this release boosted it this month but I anticipate it is going to be a regular in the top 25!
2. Discraft Scorch
I was surprised to see the Scorch sitting this high even with the Fuzed Scorch restock we had but I shouldn't have underestimated the power of the Fuzed plastic. The fire in the rim just looks insane and we have discovered internally that the Fuzed Scorch flies significantly more overstable than the stock Z Scorch making it a great 1-2 punch in players bag with the same hand feel!
3. MVP Trail
This was the perfect storm with a restock of Trails overlapping with the pre-orders for the halloween release from MVP. The Trail continues to be one of the most sought after discs on the market and it makes perfect sense with a flight that is agreeable for a wide variety of arm speeds!
4. Axiom Time-Lapse (Retooled)
As expected from last month, the official release of the Retooled Simon-Line Time-Lapse did not disappoint. People were very eager to get their hands on the new and improved version of the Simon Lizotte designed driver that has earned his seal of approval with the retooled design that makes it slightly less stable and more agreeable for your average disc golfer!
5. Axiom Hex
This is a similar situation to the Trail above where a restock perfectly lined up with the pre-order for the halloween release of the Hex. Similar to the Trail, the Hex has been one of the best selling midranges for the past several years due to it's far, neutral flight that works for everyone's game!
6. Discraft Zone
This might be the lowest we have seen the Discraft Zone ever on our top 25 list! I don't think it comes as too much of a surprise though due to the fact that the number one best seller was the Zone SS meaning a lot of people that would typically be buying Zones this month were going with the Zone SS instead. It will be interesting to see if that is a one time thing or if the Zone SS permanently affects the Zone's popularity!
7. Innova It
If you are not a fan of Foundation Disc Golf's YouTube channel, then the Innova It being this high probably makes you very confused. This is 100% due to the custom stamp release of Limit-Less Star Its that went along with the Course Conquest series on YouTube. If you haven't checked that series out, you definitely should as there are some of Foundation's best moments scattered throughout those episodes!
8. Prodigy A5
This is the most important disc in the top 10 as it was our Grow The Sport disc for National Disc Golf Day! For every A5 that was bought during National Disc Golf Day, we donated a disc to a local school to introduce kids to disc golf and grow the sport!
9. Axiom Fireball
This is the first time that the Fireball has seen the top 10 and it is again due to the pre-order for MVP's halloween releases this year! It is a niche disc due to it's crazy overstable flight so I don't expect it to stay in the top 25 for long because typically once you own one, you don't need another for a VERY long time!
10. Discraft Zone OS
Rounding out the top 10 we have the Discraft Zone OS which means that we have the stock Zone, Zone SS, and Zone OS all inside the top 10! That just shows the selling power that the Zone mold in general carries within disc golf. With the OS and the SS, the Zone family can fully cover all of your approach shots with similar hand feels making them all very popular options for players!
