The Best Disc Golf Bag for Under $100

Hunter Thomas |

If you are looking to build the best disc golf bag under $100, you are in the right place. As you start improving at disc golf, you will begin to notice certain shots that your current bag just does not cover. The good news is that with a $100 budget, you can build a well rounded disc golf setup that grows with you and covers every essential shot on the course. The main difference between a $50 bag build and a $100 bag build is the ability to add a few key utility discs that give you more flexibility and consistency in tougher situations. The bag below introduces a variety of trusted brands and gives you everything you need to shoot your best scores without overspending.

The Under $100 Disc Golf Bag

Innova DX Aviar - $9.99

This is the same putter that we chose for the $50 bag build post and for a good reason. It is the best bang for your buck putter out there in our opinion. It is a great thrower and has been the choice of players on the putting green since the inception of the professional disc golf tour! The DX plastic will beat in with use but with it mainly being used for approach and putting shots, we favor the baseline over premium plastic here for the grip it provides and the savings.

Discraft Putter Line Zone - $10.99

The Zone is a disc that you will find in player's bags from all skill levels. We are going with a baseline one here for the cost but if you are willing to pay the extra $5 for the premium version, it is worth it! The disc has an overstable flight which makes the baseline plastic a viable option here but with enough use it will become straighter and eventually understable. A premium plastic Zone will hold true to its flight for a lot longer. With that being said, the Zone will become your go-to disc for getting out of trouble and consistent approach shots!

Discraft Z Meteor - $14.99

The Discraft Meteor is one of the most overlooked and underrated discs on the market. It is an incredible choice for a dead straight mid range and as you grow in your game it becomes a great choice for hyzer-flip and turnover shots. Being able to have this disc in here to compliment your more neutral to overstable mid slot is a big advantage on the course and especially on wooded courses.

Innova Champion Roc3 - $16.99

We chose the Roc3 for this slot but there are a lot of mid ranges that could cover it and chances are you already have a good one by the time you are reading this post. Essentially what you are looking for is a mid that you can throw straight and rely on to consistently fade at the end of its flight. You don't want it to turn a bunch or require a lot of touch to get it to fly right. The Roc3 embodies that perfectly as it allows you to throw it on any line out there on the course and trust it to fly true to your release!

Infinite Discs I-Blend Sphinx - $12.99

The first driver slot that we recommend filling is the understable driver. This is going to be a workhorse for you on the course and allow you to throw all kinds of different shot shapes and angles including roller shots to get out of trouble. For this slot, I recommend the Sphinx from Infinite Discs. It has a very controllable, understable flight but more importantly comes in one of the most affordable premium plastics on the market, the I-Blend. This plastic feels just like Innova's Star but is made partially from recycled discs which makes it a great option for saving money without sacrificing feel.

Prodigy Reblend FX-4 - $14.49

Next in the driver slot we want something that is a more neutral flyer. A lot of discs could fill this slot but we are going to go with the FX-4 from Prodigy. Honestly a lot of this choice comes from the Re-blend plastic from Prodigy. Similar to the I-Blend mentioned above, the Re-blend plastic is arguably one of Prodigy's best plastics and comes at a discount due to the recycled nature of it. The feel, flight, and cost of this disc makes it the perfect choice!

Innova Star Thunderbird - $18.99

Rounding out the bag we have an overstable driver. The Thunderbird is the perfect choice for this slot as it provides enough stability to stand up to power backhand and forehands while also having enough glide to get way down the fairway. The Thunderbird is a great choice for all skill levels on the course and can be a disc that you rely on for your entire journey as a disc golfer.

Closing Thoughts

Building a complete disc golf bag on a $100 budget is not only possible but it’s also a smart way to grow your game without overcomplicating it. With a balanced mix of putters, mids, and drivers that cover understable, neutral, and overstable flights, this setup gives you every shot shape you’ll realistically need on the course. As your skills develop, these discs won’t become obsolete. They’ll simply unlock new lines and creative options. If you focus on learning these molds instead of constantly chasing new ones, you’ll build consistency, confidence, and a bag that truly works for you.
