Shift | Special Edition St. Jude Fundraiser
As part of the 2024 MVP Open, the Streamline Shift debuted as a very special collaboration with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Through sales of the Shift, our incredible disc golf community raised over $50,000 that has gone towards helping treat children with life-threatening cases. To kick off the MVP Open celebration a bit early, we’re announcing another collaboration with St. Jude for MVP Open 2025 - exclusively releasing the Plasma Shift for this extraordinary cause! Just like last year, MVP will be donating 60% of sales directly to St. Jude. This collaboration wouldn’t be complete without a stamp inspired by art created by a child receiving care from St. Jude, which industry veteran John Dorn has respectfully illustrated for this release. We deliberately chose the Shift as a disc that everyone can throw, because this cause is universal and affects us all - the more people throwing Shifts, the more support we can give to St. Jude. We hope you’ll join us in supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by purchasing one (or seven) of these Plasma Shifts for your own collection!

MVP/Axiom/Streamline
MVP burst on to the disc golf scene by doing something that other companies weren't really paying much attention to, overmolding their discs. Throwers claim this process provides gyroscopic benefits to the discs allowing them to hold their RPMs for longer making for more consistent and longer flights. In addition to the MVP brand, they also sell discs under Axiom (colored rims), and Streamline (more classic single-molded discs).
Plastic Details
Electron
Electron
This is their baseline plastic that has a grippy hand feel and is the preferred plastic for your putting putters but can be great for any disc you want to beat in as well! MVP also offers electron in a soft and hard variety.
Fission
Fission
MVP's Fission plastic is unique in that the core of the disc is drastically lighter than the rim when compared to other blends. This increases the gyroscopic nature of discs in this plastic and can lead to farther flights. The feel and durability falls in between a baseline and premium plastic.
Proton
Proton
This is MVP's classic premium plastic. It sacrifices a little bit of grip for durability and does a phenomenal job! Expect discs to fly a little bit more overstable in this plastic. It is noticeably stiffer than a lot of other competitors plastic that fills the same slot.
Neutron
Neutron
This is the opaque and grippy premium plastic that MVP offers. It has a softer hand feel than Proton and a slightly less stable flight.
Plasma
Plasma
This blend is similar to Neutron in a lot of ways but offers a more metallic look to it and a slightly grippier hand feel. Some discs in this plastic can have a color-shift look to them as well.
